FULLERTON, Calif.—After a four week homestand, the University of Hawai’i women’s volleyball team (6-5, 3-0 Big West) returned to the mainland and recorded a sweep over Cal State Fullerton (8-4, -2 BWC), 25-20, 25-15, 25-13. Junior middle blocker Amber Igiede posted match-highs of 13 kills and four blocks on Friday night at Titan Gym in Fullerton, Calif..
For the 10th time in 11 matches, Igiede posted double-digit kills. Igiede hit .522 (14-2-23) for the match and led two other Rainbow Wahine with 10+ kills. She had eight of her 14 kills in the first set alone.
Junior outside hitter Riley Wagoner finished a dig shy of her third-straight double-double with 10 kills and nine digs with a pair of blocks. Wagoner hit for a career-high .455 and had no errors for the first time since her freshman year as a reserve. It marked Wagoner’s seventh double-digit kill match of the season.
