TEMPE, Ariz. – The Chaminade University women’s tennis team was well-represented in the 2022 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II academic awards.
The Silverswords were one of 110 women’s tennis programs in D-II honored with the ITA All-Academic Team award which is awarded to teams which have a minimum grade-point average of 3.20 during the 2021-22 academic term. It is the fifth consecutive year the program was granted the team award.
Additionally, the ‘Swords had four individuals honored. Skye Haraga (Kaneohe, O’ahu, Hawai’i/Punahou), Kayleen Lau (Wailuku, Maui, Hawai’i/Kamehameha-Maui), Emily Ramirez Miranda (Honolulu/Kaiser) and Salamasina Robertson (Hau’ula, O’ahu, Hawai’i/Kahuku) were honored as ITA Scholar-Athletes.
To be honored as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, individuals must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 during the ’21-22 season.
