Daelenn Tokunaga, University of Hawaii-Hilo’s Vulcan soccer forward, was named First Team Scholar All American.
Tokunaga is a junior pursuing her bachelor’s in administration of justice. She finished the fall semester with 3.75 GPA.
This, along with some other requirements, allowed her to be eligible for the 2021NCAA Division II Women’s Scholar All-America Team by the United Soccer Coaches.
Hilo Athletics reports that the All-America Ceremony will recognize All-America soccer players at youth, high school, and college levels. I
It will also celebrate the top amateur soccer players in America in 2021.
The reception and All-America Ceremony will take place in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday, January 22nd.
Tokunaga help lead the University of Hawaii-Hilo Vulcans’ to its first conference champion and their first appearance at the NCAA West Regional.
Hilo Athletics reported that she was previously named PacWest Player-of-the Year and D2CCA First Team All West Region.
