UH Hilo’s Vulcan softball team will be traveling to O’ahu for their first countable games of the 2022 season.
Today, February 18th, the Vulcans will face Western Oregon Wolves in Waipahu at The Howard A. Okita Field.
The Wolves have already played nine regular season games and are currently sitting at 7-2 overall.
These games will prove to be a test for the HPU Vulcans, as Western Oregon is currently in first place in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
The Vulcans will face the Hawai’i Pacific Sharks on Sunday, February 20 in two non-conference games. With a record of 4-5 overall, the Sharks are able to beat Northwest Nazarene by a score of 2-1. Northern Nazarene Nighthawks were in the NCAA West Regional last year.
