The University of Hawai’i’s women’s tennis is hosting the 2022 Weinman Foundation Invitational this week. California, who finished ranked Number 21 in 2021, CSUN and Washington State are also playing in the event.
All the matches will take place at the UH tennis complex.
Fans are not permitted at the UH tennis Complex during the tournament for safety and health reasons.
Satsuki Takamura is leading five UH returning players into the new season. She was second in singles wins last year and had a record of 6-8 overall while playing at No. 2, and No. 3.
Takamura tied for No. 2 in doubles wins with Dolakova at 7-7
With the graduation the Rainbow Wahine will be replacing four of the mainstays of UH’s program.
The ‘Bows are now reloaded with six newcomers, including three senior transfers. Gitte Heynemans, Tal Talya Zandberg and Nidhi Suprapaneni both transferred from Arizona.
