The University of Hawai’i’s women’s water-polo team has published its 2022 schedule. It will include 22 regular season matches and eight of those will be played at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
The 2021 Big West champions will open their season on January 14th -16th The season opening matches will be against non-conference rivals Loyola Marymount and San Diego State respectively. The Rainbow Warriors return 11 players.
Three mainland tournaments will take place in January and February. The first will be hosted by Michigan January 29th-30th.
The team will then travel on to a warmer Triton Invitational. The tournament will be hosted at UC San Diego February 12th-13th.
Finally, the team will end the month in Irvine with the Barbara Klaus Invitational on February 26th.
The Rainbow Wahine will be on the road again in March. They’ll visit UC Davis and Pacific in mid-March, before returning to Honolulu to play six matches against conference teams.
UH will host Big West Championships, the first time UH has hosted them since 2015. They will be held at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex on April 21-23.
