Although competition was limited for the University of Hawai’i’s swim and dive teams this season, their hard work in the classroom is being acknowledged.
The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), selected UH as a Scholar All-America Team.
Both men’s and ladies’ teams were well represented. The Rainbow Warriors had a GPA score of 3.2, while the Rainbow Wahine posted a 3.28. The honor was awarded to 728 teams representing 450 colleges and universities.
Individuals with a GPA of 3.3 or more will be eligible to receive the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America was founded in 1922. It is the first national organization of college coaches.
CSCAA’s mission is to promote swimming and diving by placing coaches at the epicenter for leadership, advocacy, professional development, and leadership.
