The University of Hawaii men’s basketball team broke a record when the Rainbow Warriors made a record 18 three-pointers against Hawaii Pacific University in an 88 to 52 victory.
Noel Coleman, who was returning from a hip injury that left him missing two games, scored 23 points in 22 minutes. He went 6-for-7 behind the arch.
The Rainbows as a team shot 58%, going 18-31 from the three-point range.
Hepa and Madut both scored 16 points each. Hepa also added seven rebounds to his box score.
Rodney Hounshell, Hawaii Pacific University’s was the only player who scored double figures, The Sharks, now at 3-4 in the season, will play UH Hilo on December 12.
The Rainbow Warriors (4-6) will be off for nearly two weeks before opening play against Vanderbilt in the Diamond Head Classic on December 22.
