UH Hilo Vulcan coach Miyataki did not pack extra layers of clothing for the cool Southern California nights. But he did pack 14 pitchers.

For an eight-game road trip, the Vulcans will have 14 available pitchers. It starts Monday at the Concordia Irvine Eagles and ends with the Biola Eagles. The Vulcans with will play four doubleheaders in five days.

The, 17-6 overall and 6-4 in the Pac West, UH Hilo Vulcans, are riding a five-game winning streak into the series against the Concordia Eagles. Concordia is 9-8-1 overall and 3-1 in conference.

While the Vulcans spent three days on the mainland in the PacWest pod series last season, this will be their first traditional road trip since the 2019 season. They have been successful at home this season, going 15 and 4 at Wong Stadium.
