HONOLULU – University of Hawai’i at Mānoa Athletics posted an all-sport Academic Performance Rate (APR) score of 980 in figures released by the NCAA Tuesday. The multiyear score is an average of all UH sports and based out of 1,000.
UH’s score from the academic year 2020-21 was down from its all-time high of 986 set last year and 984 during the 2018-19 academic year. UH’s all-sport APR dropped for the first time since 2012-13. Hawai’i had improved its score each year from 2013-14 through 2019-20. (Note: APR scores were not released publicly last year)
Men’s golf posted its first perfect multiyear score of 1,000. In addition, eight of the school’s 18 teams posted perfect single-year scores of 1,000, down from a record 11 during the 2018-19 academic year. Among the teams that posted perfect single-year scores included six of 11 women’s programs – basketball, golf, softball, soccer, swimming and diving, and tennis. Two men’s sports also posted perfect single-year scores – golf and swimming and diving.
