HONOLULU – The University of Hawai’i men’s basketball program will host its sixth annual Tipoff Event on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. The Tipoff, sponsored by Bank of Hawaii and Hawaiian Airlines, is one of the most anticipated UH social events of the year and returns in-person for the first time since 2019.
The Tipoff lets fans enjoy great food, win auction items, and mingle with the Rainbow Warrior players and coaching staff. It will mark the first time in three years the popular event will be held in UH’s home arena. The event was canceled in 2020 due to COVID and last year’s event was a virtual affair.
“The Tipoff Event is one of the dates we look forward to the most each season and even more so this year,” head coach Eran Ganot said. “We can’t wait to interact with our great fans and supporters after such a long wait. It will no doubt be an enjoyable night and a great way to build excitement for what’s to come in the 2022-23 season.”
