TULSA, Okla.—University of Hawai’i men’s tennis player Guillaume Tattevin competed in the consolation round of the ITA All-American Championships on Sunday at the Lafourtune Park in Tulsa, Okla.
Guillaume fell in straight sets to LSU’s Nick Watson, 6-1, 6-1.
Hawai’i teammate Axel Labruinie was not eligible to play in the consolation round since he advanced to the Round of 126 on Saturday.
24th-ranked Andre Ilagan will open the tournament in the Main Draw (Round of 64) on Wednesday, Oct. 5. Last season, Ilagan began the tourney in the Qualifying Round and proceeded to make UH history by advancing all the way to the semifinals. Along the way, Ilagan (who had entered the tourney unranked) upset six ranked players to advance farther than any previous Rainbow Warrior.
