HONOLULU—The University of Hawai’i softball team (22-17, 16-8 Big West) sent their five seniors out in style as the Rainbow Wahine recorded its first ever sweep over Cal State Fullerton in the twenty seasons that the two teams have been conference opponents. Hawai’i took both ends of Saturday’s doubleheader at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium. UH held off the Titans, 13-11 in a thrilling, eight inning ending with a two-run, walk-off home run by Dallas Millwood. In the series finale, senior Nawai Kaupe accounted for both runs of the 2-0 shutout over the Titans. Freshman Brianna Lopez earned the win in relief in the opener and got her third save of the season in the finale in relief of Chloe Borges who picked up her first win since March 19. It was the final home games for Hawai’i’s five seniors—Kaeli Bush, Mikaela Gandia-Mak, Nawai Kaupe, Ashley Murphy and Brittnee Rossi.
