PHOENIX – The Hawai’i women’s soccer team had its season opener at Grand Canyon suspended in the 27th minute due to severe weather in the Phoenix area Thursday. The two teams will resume play Friday morning at 7 a.m. HT with GCU in front 1-0.
Before play was halted, the ‘Bows fought off a couple of good chances by GCU over the first 10 minutes, but the Lopes struck first with a goal from the top of the box in the 11th minute to make it 1-0.
