Freshman goalkeeper Lolo Retsky posted two shutouts last week.
HILO, Hawaii – Hawai’i Hilo women’s soccer freshman goalkeeper Lolo Retsky (Calabasas, Calif./Sierra Canyon School) was named Pacific West Conference Defender of the Week for Sept. 12-18, 2022.
It’s now back-to-back weeks the Calabasas, Calif.-native has gotten the nod for the PacWest weekly honor.
With most teams in the conference at least five games deep into the 2022 season, Retsky ranks amongst the top in the PacWest with a .400 goals-against average (No. 1), two goals allowed (No. 1), three total shutouts (No. 1), .600 shutouts per game (No. 3), and a .867 save percentage (No. 3).
With help of the Vulcans back-line defense composed of Jodi Lillie (Mililani, Hawai’i/Mililani HS), Maisie Paulson (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista HS), Juliet Hufford (Edmonds, Wash./Edmonds-Woodway HS), Alia Bournay (Northville, MI/Northville HS) and Kierstyn Yamamoto (Kea’au, Hawai’i/Kea’au HS), Retsky has also compiled the third-lowest saves total at 13 for a conference-low of 2.60 saves per game.
