Yolanda Racaza (San Pedro, Calif./Port of Los Angeles) of the Chaminade University softball team is the final 2021-22 Hawai’i Pacific Health Female Silversword Athlete of the Week for games played between April 25 to 30.
In Saturday’s season finale at the University of Hawai’i Hilo, the junior utility player started at second base and drew a lead-off walk in the fifth inning of a tied game. She eventually came around to score what proved to be the game-winning run in the Silverswords’ 2-1 victory. Racaza, who will forgo her final year of athletic eligibility, also set defensive career highs with seven putouts and three assists.
