BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Hawai’i Pacific University men’s golf team completed their final round of the Western Washington Invitational Tuesday afternoon at Bellingham Golf and Country Club.
The Sharks finished 50-over-par over three rounds for a total of 914. Freshman Miles Atkinson led the pack with a 7-over-par tournament. Atkinson was in a great position after his first-round 71 and second-round 73, but a 79 in round three had him fall T42 to finish the tournament.
Senior Keli’iokalani Kamelamela-Dudoit continued to strike the ball well on the road trip as he carded 72-77-76 and finished 9-over-par T49.
Freshman Shion Suzuki settled into his second tournament, where, after two rounds was 2-over-par. A more challenging final round 81 put him at 11-over-par for his three rounds, finishing solo 56th.
Junior Noah Daher carded a 20-over-par tournament. He shot his tournament-best 77 in round two of the competition. Daher finished T75.
Freshman Santino Diokono and senior Hasee Nazir finished 27-over-par T86 after three rounds of play. Hasee carded his best 78 in his second round, while Diokono carded an 80 in his final round.
The Sharks return home and will host the Southwest Airlines HPU Sharks Shootout, with first-round coverage set to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
