The Warriors were defeated by Mililani at Kaulaheanuiokamoku Gym. They they lost three straight, 25-17, 25-10 and 25-10 in the first round of the Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division I volleyball tournament.
Even though the matched lasted less than an hour, it was still a significant step for the Kamehameha Maui girls’ volleyball team.
The team finished the season at 7-8 and said goodbye to eight seniors. However, reaching the state tournament was a major step for a proud program with a new coaching staff.
Coach Evan Jenkins will have ten varsity players returning next season.
