Former UH Coach June Jones’ supporters and donors are dissatisfied with the University of Hawaii’s handling of the hiring process for the football head coaching position.
June Jones’ supporters claim that it could cost the program millions of dollars in financial assistance.
“The business community is up in arms. We are not stupid”, Stanford Carr, a business executive said, “We know this was a choreographed setup”.
The University of Hawaii announced that Timmy Chang, a former quarterback, will be its next head coach.
Jones supporters claim that Jones would have brought in millions of dollars of financial support to the program. They claim that much of this support has evaporated because of how the hiring process was conducted.
Others supporter say they hoped for smoother negotiations.
