Hawaii’s Carissa Moore, Moana Jones Wong won their quarterfinal heats at Billabong Pro Pipeline on Wednesday. They will now compete in the semifinals of this World Surfing League Competition.
Carissa Moore stole the show, at the Billabong Pro Pipeline, and was the star of day, scoring 13.33 to beat Brisa Hennessy’s 4.37 score. Moana Jones Wong scored 11.34, beating Isabella Nichols’ 10.44.
Malia Manuel from Hawaii lost to Tyler Wright, Australia. Lakey Peterson, U.S., took the final spot.
Today, surf permitting, the next Billabong Pro Pipeline call will feature the women’s semifinals and the men’s quarterfinals.
