KAHUKU, O’AHU—The University of Hawai’i cross country team began the 2022 schedule with a team win on Saturday morning with the Big Wave Invitational at Kahuku Golf Course.
The Rainbow Wahine finished one, two, and three in the meet as the team scored 19 points against five other programs and 21 points lower than second place Pacific.
For the first time in her cross country career, senior Caelan Miller placed first overall in a meet, crossing the finish line at 19:00.3. A year ago, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native finished in fourth place with a time of 19:53.92 in the same event.
