Jayden de Laura, the quarterback of the Washington State Cougars, is now heading out of Pullman. The Cougars are close to securing the Incarnate Word star quarterback Cameron Ward. Upon this news Jayden de Laura entered the NCAA transfer portal.
De Laura, a second year Cougar from St. Louis High School was the Pac-12’s leading passer in 2021. He completed 229 of 361 passes, 63.4% for 2,796 yards and 23 touchdowns. He had only 9 interceptions.
This earned De Laura Pac-12 Offensive Player-of-the Year honors.
However, perhaps in his greatest moment came off the field. De Laura looked fine as he walked off the field at halftime. However, he didn’t return to the game for what was called a lower-body injury.
Ward, was a star at IWU under Eric Morris, now-WSU’s offensive coordinator. He is rated as one of the top talents nationally. After the Sun Bowl Ward tweeted that he had been offered a scholarship from Washington State.
