The Kamehameha Warriors might have had their best performance of the year in their fourth appearance in a shortened 2022 season.
The Warriors were firing on all cylinders Wednesday in a 13-0 defeat of the Hawaii Prep Ka Makani.
The Warriors had 13 hits, five of those were extra-base hits and added 10 walks. Dylan Hanson had a run home run in the second inning. Kamehameha sent 17 players up to bat.
Hanson was the top hitter with three hits. Jacob Momohara , Kaohu Kawelu and Clemson Julian also drove in two runs each.
Jonah Reich and Makana Carbonel-Magnus combined on the mound to strike out 15 batters over six innings. The Warriors won the game giving up just one hit.
Carbonel-Magnus was the starter. He struck out six batters in two innings and got the win. Reich pitched four innings of relief for the Warriors.
Krystof Kalinin took the loss for the Na Makani.
Next Tuesday, the 4-0 Kamehameha Warriors, host a game against the Pahoa Daggers.
