HONOLULU – Chaminade University Athletics on Thursday held its 11th Annual Athletics Ceremony, held at the Sullivan Library Lawn.
 
Awards for Most Outstanding, Most Inspirational and Scholar-Athlete (highest grade-point-average) for all 10 intercollegiate programs were announced.
 
In the team awards for highest grade-point-average, softball had the highest GPA among large rostered sports (11 or more participants) with a 3.59. In small rostered sports (10 or less), women’s tennis had a 3.74.
 
Isaac Amaral-Artharee of men’s basketball was the Male Athlete of the Year for the second straight year while Alexia Byrnes of women’s volleyball was the Female Athlete of the Year. Kayleen Lau of women’s tennis was the recipient of the Silversword Award. These three awards were announced at the Chaminade Co-Curricular Awards on April 20.
